A ride-ready triceratops running its complete walk cycle with the saddle frame fitted. Legs, neck and tail drive off one controller at a walking pace a rider can sit through.
The triceratops ride shown here is the production frame, not a display shell. The walking cycle is driven by a geared motor on each rear leg with position feedback, so the gait stays even when a rider shifts weight mid-step. Neck, jaw and tail run on their own servos and can be tuned separately — a park that wants a calmer head movement for small children can slow that channel without touching the leg timing.
Two details are worth watching in the clip. First, the feet: each one lands flat and holds before the next lifts, which is what stops the ride from rocking. Second, the saddle frame is bolted to the spine rather than the outer skin, so the load never travels through the moulded shell.
Ride units are built to the customer’s track layout. Straight rail, curved rail and free-roaming wheeled bases all use the same drive package.
